Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the official release, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine cult.
The questline centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana in addition to multiple items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
